James Killelea & Co Ltd were the Steelwork Contractors on this major project to rejuvenate part of Warrington town centre. There were over 6,500 individual steel sections and components involved in the steel erection phase with a combined structural steel weight of over 3,000t. Steel erection was carried out by Killelea’s steel engineering services. Above ground level, floors have been formed compositely with metal decking supported by steel beams with a concrete topping. We carried out the steel design and fabrication of the custom shapes and standard sections at our plant in Rossendale, Lancashire, and transported the materials by road for the short 35 mile (56 km) trip to the construction site. Our engineering services oversaw quality assurance to building construction standards. For more information, please contact us here, or using the details at the top of this page.
