Unit D at Birch Business Park is the next step of the end client’s phased development plans. Already, two more units are being considered. Unit D spans more than 73,000sqft / 6,795sqm complete with 5 loading doors and 6 dock leveller doors.
All steelwork design and fabrication was carried out at Killelea’s Rossendale, Lancashire plant and transported about 15 miles by road to the site in Heywood off the M62.
James Killelea & Co Ltd were the steelwork engineering contractors for the supply, connection design, fabrication, delivery and erection of the structural steel elements.
Williams Build and Design Limited, Manchester – WBD handle all requirements up to full turnkey projects from inception to completion including industrial, build retail and commercial projects. They are based in Eccles, Manchester. The entire Unit D project took 42 weeks to completion.
Yeargate Ltd who is the wider site owner states Unit D is an addition to Units L1 and L2 which were constructed in 2019 during Phase 1 of Birch Business Park. A 1940s vintage warehouse was demolished and replaced with this state-of-the art warehousing space.
