Bradford City F.C. - Coral Windows Stadium
Client: Ellenby
KILLELEA Structural Steelwork: 2115 Tonnes

Ellenby placed orders with KILLELEA for a number of stands and a Club Megastore at Bradford City F.C. over a 4 year period. The Betrescue Stand was the first to be installed and constituted 285 Tonnes of hot rolled steel and created seating for 4500 spectators.

The installation if this stand had to be fully serviced from Midland Road; the main contractor Ellenby had secured a total road closure for a limited period, programme was critical. Next came The Carlsberg Stand, this is a dominating two-tier stand which towers over one end of the pitch at Valley Parade adding 7500 seats to the stadium's capacity and weighed in at 485 Tonnes. The addition of The Bradford College Community Stand or Quadrant increased spectator numbers by a further 2300 and the Co-Operative Stand (which is The Coral Windows Stadium's main stand) created another 9000 seats; together containing 1240 Tonnes. The Club Megastore was “retro-fit” within the Co-operative Stand to allow for two floors of retail space, the store weighs approximately 105 Tonnes. The whole project contains 2115 Tonnes of KILLELEA Structural Steelwork and has created 23,300 uninterrupted viewing seats for The Bantams and has helped to create a wonderful playing arena for Bradford City F.C.
