Killelea were successful in the competitive tender process during which our knowledge and experience of similar projects throughout the country was appreciated by the main contractor Vinci Construction UK Limited.

The project was to redevelop Stockport's successful Sixth Form College and this development would be lead by Broadway Maylan as project architects and Faber Maunsell as consulting engineers.

Killelea's work package consisted of 1050 Tonnes of structural steelwork; 10,000m2 of structural metal decking and the placing of pre-cast concrete stair units. The steelwork, decking and stair units were installed in a phased-handover programme, enabling following trades early access to the site.

Aquinas College now provides 1800 students a state-of-the-art educational facility, in the heart of the North West.
